The Lord woke me up with something very cool this morning.
"To grant to those who mourn in Zion, beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness."
So if you feel burnt out, charred, or that you have nothing but ashes in your life... rejoice!!! Give it to the Lord and He will make it beautiful (in His time.) And if you feel overwhelmed with the cares of life, depressed, weary, faint hearted, rejoice! The Lord will give you the oil of joy in its place if you will give it all to Him. It seems there is a lot of talk about oils these days. There are the omega 3s, EFA, oils for aroma therapy, a good old cod liver oil, just to name a few. But the Lord says if we will just come and submit to a yoke that is easy and security, and surrender to a burden that is light and not wearisome, He will give us the joy of joy that no money can buy — it is priceless and brings true happiness. What an anti-depressant!!! cyber smile.
You see special ones, pride makes us restless, but as we really surrender everything to the Lord it brings rest because we are truly trusting in Him. Why does He do all these wonderful things for us? He establishes us in Him, and shows us His great love that He may be glorified. What a face lift that is. Not only that, Ps. 42 tells us that He is the health of our countenance as we trust in Him, and Ps 3 says He is the glory and the lifter of our head!
O dear Heavenly Father, YOU have just thought of everything! You are a God above all gods. None can compare to You. Thank You for a new day to again submit our lives to You. We gladly choose to bow our head and heart to receive Your yoke that places us right next to You. We can hear Your voice and gaze into Your eyes of gentle intense love. Nothing in this world can compare with that!! How we worship and adore You as we get to walk with You another day, secure in Your love, and resting with Your arms around us. What an awesome mighty God You are.!!! In Jesus name, A-men. Have a restful day in the Lord special ones. You ARE truly loved.
