Hello special ones,
I was praying and asking for guidance from the Lord on several issues in my life. As I read the chapter of Proverbs for the day (like the 11th Proverb on the 11th day of the month), I came across a familiar passage. "When pride cometh, then comes shame, But with the lowly, the humble is wisdom." Proverbs 11:2–3. (Thank You, Lord. I choose to humble my heart. Help me how to do it better.)
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
Humility and integrity, two qualities we certainly want in the foundation of our character. These scriptures came to my heart as I continued to pray:
"be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time. Casting all your anxieties and cares upon Him for He cares for you." I Peter 5.
Humility and casting our cares seem to go hand in hand as we have discussed before, and it seems I needed to hear it again!
In Colossians I we read "Be filled with all wisdom and spiritual understanding.... Walk worthy."
Make love your aim (I Cor 10:1.) GO IN AND POSSESS THE LAND! Proverbs One
Dear Lord, Your word is so awesome, and it penetrates the thoughts and intents of our hearts. It cuts through to our very depths cleansing us and giving direction. Help us to not just be hearers only but doers obeying the precepts You set before us. Thank You for changing us into Your image and likeness. We choose to humble our hearts before you. Help us dear Lord to be transparent. We need you to fill us to overflowing with Your love. Help us to make wise decisions and resist pride. Help us to not have anything in our heart that would block us from hearing Your voice. Lord, please lead us in Your paths of righteousness for Your name sake (Ps. 23.) We commit our works to You and Your word says You will cause our thoughts to be established and our plans to succeed. Proverbs 16:3. Thank You that You really care and are working for our good and Your glory through our lives. In Jesus mighty name, a-men!
Have a great day in the Lord, special ones. You are truly cared about and loved.
