A Feast Prepared for The King

A Feast Prepared for The King

It is wonderful to be with you today. You know, I was reflecting recently on a vision the Lord gave me about thirty years ago. I can still see it as clearly as if it happened yesterday. I was having my devotions, praying and thinking about heaven, when suddenly, I wasn't just in my room anymore.

I found myself in a space that seemed to go on forever. To my left, I saw this glorious building—majestic and radiant—and I thought to myself, *That must be the throne of God.* As I looked around, I saw other structures being built up, and I realized that we aren't just going to be looking down at a building; we are part of something being constructed by the very presence of God's people.

But what truly took my breath away was the table. It was a feast prepared for the King, and the table stretched out as far as the eye could see. I walked up to it and noticed the place settings. They were exquisite, like the finest china, but each one was completely unique.

I stood before my own place setting and began to look closely at the details. The plate was large and covered in what looked like delicate filigree. As I leaned in, I realized that the pattern wasn't just a random design. Each tiny mark was a record of an experience with the Lord.

I didn't have a word for it thirty years ago, but today I would call them "pixels." There were hundreds, maybe thousands, of these tiny dots that made up a single design, and each design told the story of a trial where I had seen victory, or a moment where the Lord showed me His utter faithfulness. These "pixels" of grace formed the larger pattern of the plate, and those etchings continued onto the silverware and the crystal goblets.

I think about the alabaster jar in scripture—that beautiful, costly worship—and I saw that same level of beauty in these settings. This wasn't just about making things look "good"; it was about the glory of God being woven into the fabric of our lives. Every miracle, every quiet moment of protection, every time He walked me through a dark valley, it was all there, etched into the very table where we would sit for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

As we sit down with our Savior, we will literally "taste and see that the Lord is good." Can you imagine? To look down at your own plate and see the complete description of His faithfulness in your individual life? People often talk about seeing videos of their lives in heaven, but I think it’s much more intimate than that. It would take years just to read all the ways He has been merciful to us.

That vision changed me. It reminded me that nothing we go through on this earth is wasted. Every struggle is a dot in a masterpiece. I am just so grateful for the way He has mercifully protected and abundantly blessed my life. He is truly the Victor King, and He is preparing a place for us that is more personal and more beautiful than we could ever dream.
